An Awesome Christmas Vacation

One morning I woke up hugging my pillow tightly and wearing all the smiles because I had nothing to worry about. No assignments, no seatworks, no terrific things to meet. At last, the most awaited christmas vacation had come!

Our family was busy preparing for the arrival of the other members who would be spending their christmas vacation here in Ilocos. We were one in doing something to feel the spirit of the born of Jesus Christ.

Almost all of my days were spent playing and talking to my relatives as we exchanged stories and ideas. We often watch tv and play cards for recreation.

Last December 23, I went to school for a meeting then afterwards attended Reimark's birthday. there I have learned the game sungka and I played it for the first time.

The next day at 10:00 pm, we attended an anticipated mass and had a noche buena afterwards. And on Christmas Day, we went to our relatives' house, and had our aginaldo. We were very happy while we crack jokes in each of the houses in our compound.

The way we welcomed 2009 was even been more exciting. The environment was filled with new things. Removing away the shadows of the year 2008! The table was full of different delicacies, fresh, delicious and colorful foods that were used to symbolize prosperity. We went house by house. Such advantage because almost all our neighbors are our relatives.

But after an awesome celebration, things must go back to normal. Our relatives went bak to where they came from. Some in Nueva Ecija, some in Manila, and in Candon. But one thing is for sure. I will never forget this christmas. They are treasurable memories, I will cherish them.
